My first week

This is our first family picture. And yes, that is my tummy.

This were pictures of my first week with my new sister, Tzviya. When this picture was taken, I was a little unsure as to whether I wanted to keep her, but now I decided I do. Ima and Abba are happy about that decision...



Hi- it's me, Tzviya! This is a picture of me with my brother G. You can't really see me so much because Ima insisted on putting me in a fluffy pouch. I had to tell her it's still summer here...she was just excited to use her new fluffy pouch!




As part of my first week's activities, Sabba and Savta tried to distract me from all the commotion surrounding Tzviya coming onto the scene. So sabba lent me his best pen and we drew a picture...that occupied me for a couple minutes...

My New Sister!

On the first night of Rosh Hashana (the same day as my Abba's hebrew birthday), my Ima had a baby girl. Her name is Tzviya and she's my new sister! Everyone asks me how I'm doing, you know, because of the attention thing. And the truth is, as long as my parents keep having parties for her that involve herring and chocolate cake, I'm good...

More Toronto

One of the most exciting parts of Toronto is being with my cousin Tziyona!

We have so much fun together! We eat, play, run around...

...and get lots of attention from Tata and Babba! (Savta and Sabba)

Speaking of Savta's...I got to visit with my Savta Rabba and Zaidy too! It was so much fun!




Then my Sabba taught me a new game which made him very tired but made me VERY happy!

Toronto Vacation pt.2

After the maternity store, we were all ready for a little lesson on the songs I learn in gan.

Then we sang skinnemerinki and I taught Sabba and Savta that for "I", you point to your eye! Isn't that clever? They are very quick learners!

Sabba thought this was hysterical. I thought this was no laughing matter.

Then I proceeded to teach them where their elbows are. Could you believe this was the first time they were hearing about this? I mean really Sabba, what did they teach you in medical school?

My Toronto Vacation part 1

My first stop was none other than Yorkdale, where I practiced carrying Ima's bags. See, Ima needs this because she usually has a lot of bags...



Then I got fitted for running shoes. I did not, however, buy the purple socks I was trying them on with.

The shoes were comfy, but kinda looked like I was wearing lead bricks at the beginning...we decided to think about them...


Then we went to the maternity store and I found out what it was like to be pregnant! Not an easy job but you have a lot of people clapping for you and laughing. I could get used to it...

Fish

Our first meal in Toronto was, of course, none other than...Herring! Every little boy's favourite!

I know I don't seem so enthused by the idea of fish here, but it really is one of my favourites...I'm the only person under two who's allowed into the kiddush club on shabbat!

Last day of gan pics

This is me on the last day of gan...Ima took a LOT of pictures because she got all sentimental! I don't know why...i'll be back in two weeks!!

My last day of gan

Today was my last day of gan! Ima and Abba were very sad. I said goodbye to Shiran, Sima, Miriam, Alina, and Miriam Cook and they all gave me big kisses. My class gave me such a nice present because I was leaving- they all made me pictures! And the best present was a class picture so I can remember all of the kids in my class and my gananot- especially them, because I'll be seeing all my friends in a month when I graduate to the middle class! Bye everyone! See you in Toronto!

For those of you who asked, this is IMA!! I don't say her name often but that doesn't mean I don't love her the same as Abba (whose name I use for everything including ABBA!)And yes, this is how she spells Ima!

Yehai Yehai

I didn't want to say anything until it was official, but I joined THE CHEVRA last week. Our next album is coming out in September.

Cheerios and Milk!

It was a bold move on Ima's part but she finally let me try cheerios with milk! Since I haven't exactly got a grasp of the spoon concept yet, I enjoyed eating with my fingers.
