Holiday Cheer 1
Some videos from Tzviya's Chanuka Bash...Mr. G's will be up tomorrow, not to worry. We're an equal opportunities family.
This video came out pretty poorly, but you still see Tzviyoosh sitting beside Limor, her favourite teacher...she's also very proud of herself because only a few kids were in this song. Yay Tzviya!
Choshech!
Litzachnu!!!
LOTS OF LATKES!! THE SONG!
Sufganiya metuka!

And now, back to life!
We took this picture on Sukkot- I know, it looks like Purim. But isn't every day Purim? At our house it is!

Yom HaZikaron, Yom Ha'atzmaut
Today we remember all the soldiers who fought and gave their lives to protect us so we are able to "lehiot am chofshi b'artzeinu..." (This was the only child who would pose today, but you see her bright white shirt). Ima says there is nothing like living in Eretz Yisrael and if you don't live here, you can't understand what it means to put an Israeli flag on your car because it's your country and you care. To dress in blue and white today because you stand with the entire country united in appreciating and remembering our soldiers who gave their lives so that we can live a normal life. Here the army is part of our lives. Here we learn to appreciate every minute together, to appreciate the many landscapes and personalities that make up our country. Every year we appreciate more and more that there is no country like Israel. Eretz Nehederet!

Tu B'Shvat Higiya!
Tu B'shvat came and we were all so excited to do our netiyot. We met so many people who came out to plant the over a million trees in Israel on Tu B'Shvat. We planted five atzei brosh, a type of evergreen. Achinoam's was the size of her! We had to explain to her that trees are not for eating...
These are pictures of everyone next to their trees:
Mr. G singing all the way there and back...

Miss T thrilled about all of this...

Ima planting...

The tree is as tall as Achinoam!

Abba planting!

We saw AIRPLANES!
On Yom HaAtzmaut we visited the chayalim on an army base and we got to see so many big airplanes- like the Hercules! We also got to see helicopters that fit jeeps in them. Tzviyali went under the ropes so Abba had to go get her. She didn't want to ride in the agala so I rode instead. Then we had ice cream with sprinkles and Tzviyali smushed hers into her shirt. It was very messy but yummy. We had such a fun time, especially when these planes flew over us!

...Chag HaYom LeYisrael!
To start off Medinat Yisrael's 61st Birthday Party, we made yummy cupcakes! This is what we live for- each of us had two of them!
Today we're going to say thank you to the air force for protecting us! Hopefully we'll see some airplanes and be able to ride on them. I hope we see Itai there...
