Today we remember all the soldiers who fought and gave their lives to protect us so we are able to "lehiot am chofshi b'artzeinu..." (This was the only child who would pose today, but you see her bright white shirt). Ima says there is nothing like living in Eretz Yisrael and if you don't live here, you can't understand what it means to put an Israeli flag on your car because it's your country and you care. To dress in blue and white today because you stand with the entire country united in appreciating and remembering our soldiers who gave their lives so that we can live a normal life. Here the army is part of our lives. Here we learn to appreciate every minute together, to appreciate the many landscapes and personalities that make up our country. Every year we appreciate more and more that there is no country like Israel. Eretz Nehederet!
