Shabbat in Allonei HaBashan

Saba and Savta Cohen took us to a moshav called Allonei Habashan last shabbat. It is the most eastern moshav in Israel, very very close to the Syrian border. On friday, we went to the valley where the Syrians invaded Israel to begin the Yom Kippur war in 1973. This is the valley that a great battle took place and many soldiers lost their lives for our country. We visited this valley (behind Abba, Ima, and me) and saw trees that were planted in honour of each soldier. Then we went to a nearby place and saw a very moving video starring some commanders who came out of the battle alive. We won the war, by the way...that's why there is a Syrian tank below...

We are playing on an abandoned Syrian tank.

My uncles and aunt had a fun time playing with me! I had fun with them too!
