Eilat!

For those of you who couldn't reach me for a few days, my Ima and Abba took me to Eilat! I had such an amazing time! I saw lots of fish, got a stuffed animal fish to take home, went on a submarine, saw sharks being fed, saw animals from the amazon, saw a pearl being taken out of a real oyster, played in the pool, ate a lot, and played with Ima and Abba a lot- I think that was my favourite part...but going in a submarine was a close second!

On our way to Eilat we stopped at Yotvata for ice cream. There were some cows there- plastic- but it looked a little too real for me so I clung to Ima for dear life till she took me away from them. I think i'll stick to the cows in books for now!

In our hotel, the Magic Palace, there was a room that I could only think of in my dreams! It had a giant pit of balls that I could play in. Abba jumped in with me! Then I started to pass him all the balls, one by one. I was going to pass him all the balls in the whole pit but Abba said it was getting too late...luckily I went again with Ima later!

This is me and Abba at the observatory in Eilat! I had so much fun looking at all the fish!

One of my favourite parts was the submarine ride I took. I saw parrot fish, zebra fish, cleaner fish, coral and so many others!

I also hit the glass a bunch of times, just testing Ima!

I thought this was a nice picture Ima took of a crocodile...it was right next to the Tirrantulas..

Savta, did the one you saw under the fridge look like this?

This is a Pirrahna. They eat all living creatures...be careful...they look like regular fish.

Ima did a nice job imitating one.

Then she showed me how to feed some safe fish!

Later at the hotel I was too hot to put on my T-shirt so I ran away in my bathing suit.

Then I practiced standing next to the mirror...I'm a cute guy!

Finally, Abba caught me and gave me a bath!

These are pictures of me playing with my toys yesterday morning. I love playing in the morning! Ima says i'm very intense about it...I just think it's fun! Ima wanted me to update everyone on what i'm doing these days. Well, as you saw in some pictures, i'm walking while only holding one hand! I'm also running now, by the way. And today, I was able to identify animals by the sounds Ima was making! She made a quack and I said "Duck"! and she made a meow and I said "Cat"! Ima thinks i'm really smart...I just think she makes funny sounds!

Pictures from Yom Haatzmaut!

On Yom Haatzmaut we picked vegetables for an organization called "table to table", which gives food to needy people.

Here we are holding a green onion...

We all had so much fun being together...and I also had fun in my hat! (except when I realized I was wearing it...)

Here is Ima with her friends (and mine) Maytal and Ahuva...

and here is Ima with a giant fennel plant she picked all by herself from the ground! My Ima is SUPERWOMAN!!

...after a long day I fell asleep...but first I made a few phonecalls!

Chag Ha'atzmaut Sameach!

It's now Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel's independence day) here in Israel and tomorrow we're going to celebrate by saying Hallel (praise to Hashem for giving us our homeland), get together with friends, and of course my favourite...EAT!!!
We're also going to wear blue and white and waive flags! Chag Sameach everyone!

These are all pictures Ima tried to take of me with my flag from gan...they didn't exactly work out, but you get the picture (no pun intended)...and by the way, I wasn't hitting myself in the face in the second picture.

This is Abba giving the picture thing a try...it worked!

My new toy

For my birthday, Ima and Abba bought me a toy car! Since I can't move it myself yet, I rely on Abba to give me rides...this is a video of me laughing while Abba pushes me in the car! Click play to watch the video!

Yom Hazikaron

Today is Yom Hazikaron in Israel. It is the day that we remember the brave soldiers and civilians who died for our country. It is a very sad day- everyone is affected. Everyone knows someone who died. Ima told me about one person in particular who was very brave- his name is Roi Klein z"l. He was a Major and in the Lebanon war in the summer, he saved the lives of the soldiers in his brigade by jumping on a grenade. As he jumped, he said "shma yisrael Hashem elokeinu Hashem echad..." To me, he was a real hero, a real moser nefesh. Let us remember Roi and everyone who died in protecting our country.

I Love Swimming!

Can you tell how much I love the water from this picture?

What about from this one?

I had so much fun swimming in the pool! I walked all around with the help of my floatie. Maybe one day i'll learn how to do flutter kick. For now, i'll stick with the kiddie pool...

While I played in the pool, Savta and Abba got mud treatments! I thought it was so funny when I came out of the pool!

Then when I was done with all my playing, Sabba put me to sleep...

Exploring the coffee table...

hmmm...this looks like an interesting spot to explore...

OOH! There's Ima with her camera again!

I think i'll move on to something else now....

Abba and I made a siyum! Mazal tov to us!

On erev pesach Abba and I finished learning all the mishnayot in masechet avot! We've been learning almost every night since I was born and we actually finished! When we finished, we sang the song "Torat Hashem temima!" and we started learning again from the beginning to show that the process of learning never ends! I'm excited to learn more with Abba! Mazal tov to us!

Happy Birthday Dear Sabba!

I love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! I'M 1!!

I'm one year old!! I can't believe it!! But really I can because I had four birthday parties to prove it...
The first party was on shabbat at my sabba and savta's house! I ate my favourite food and the whole house had balloons!! The next party I had was at our house and Grandma, Sabba, Savta, Aunt Judy, and my uncles came! It was so much fun- my Ima and Abba gave me a yummy birthday cake and a fun present...and of course lots of kisses! The next birthday was at gan...Sabba and Savta came straight from Toronto to be there with me! I ate lots of bamba- even the bamba that belonged to the girl next to me...and for the grand finale, I had my english birthday at the Dead Sea with Sabba and Savta and my uncles and aunt and tzyona. It was so much fun and even though they mixed up my cake with Sabba's cake the day before, I got to eat this one and it was VERY IMPRESSIVE...we shared with the rest of the hotel and there was enough for everyone!
Here are some pictures!
